It's really been awhile.Life's pretty plain,nothing too exciting probably until today.
What a day of many lasts and a defining milestone.Last paper,last day as a student and many many LASTs.Bali thai,ontime,timbre-substation,long island tea sums up the day.
1.5yrs zoomed passed just like that...and it will only get faster down the many decades down...

Many gains and losses,some
achievements,friendships,strengthen,regrets,disappointments,tough mugged,rigorious project assignements...wow..so many many to list.It's a passing phase...and probably the longest phase awaits,definitely the most critical of all, that defines my life...shall embrace it with optimism although uncertainties and unfavourable environmental conditions are still prevalent..Shall take a short break...for now.while it lasts.

wow.It's been really quite a while that i thought i should just post something here..What have i been up to ...Studying for exams and..GE!..

The first GE that ppl my age are eligible to vote.And most of us really did,credit to the oppositions for bumping out from every where just to contest,upon immense resentment and criticism from the cyberspace and probably the working world and those coffee shop talks.So much to talk about for all the katespades,rallies,apologies,tigers,double LINGS...etc

Its close to the 2 weeks prior to election that SUDDENLY the facebook was flooded,raided with all kinds of notes,statuses,videos etc spreading all kinds of political information

The liberalisation of the social media and internet has indeed manifest itself as a powerful and viral source for political debates and tinkering...It has indeed leveled the playing field to a certain extent between the ruling party and oppositions.History was created just on nomination day where only Tanjong pagar was non-contested only NEARLY as the last min assembled team was late by 35s.

Then to the campaigning..wow..The opposition rallys,with the emotionally highly charged speeches and criticisms SEEMED to have won over a substantial following looking at the crowd figures esp for WP swelling up to 5 figures.Really fascinating..that its such a rarity in singapore for ppl to come together on their own accord besides the NDP.What a eye opener.The surprisingly substantial numbers of more qualified opp candidates with some having impressive resume and credentials made it even more interesting.Notably Dr Chen.Somehow come to favour him,probably he has the charisma..and i could really see his sincerity to the ppl of singapore.While a couple of sucide squads were sent to some GRCs,Aljunied's WP A team was impressive,the whole nation watched the contest in awe...many hoping for a break through to a step for maturing politics and democracy.Really a high stakes game for both parties..The balloting was really an eye opener for many many due to the numerous walkovers ever since our independence.

While in the end what i hoped for did came true...A strong msg being sent across with a weaker mandate..Apologies,reflections,internal rejunvenation promised and stated.So ..its another 5 yrs..hoping for a better singapore with more social empthay.

May 11th,last paper-Business Ethics.Was thinking what the sheet the author's been blabbering about...argh.

Finally made it thru the troublesome TP test.. What a sense of relief. Played twice officially , everything seemed gd, I could do stuffs that I thought I couldn't. Better than expected .. Couple of months ago everything was so doubtful, i thought thats it. 3rd day of 2011.Sum up 2010.Near yr end,talk of allien invasion & armagadeon heats up again..interesting as it is,couldn't care more abt it.If it comes ,every1 u & I would most probably be vanished without a trance.Ok crap.

2010.Should be,DULL in comparision with 2009.Probably 2008 was tougher in terms of mentally and physically,test of endurance,the stint in NS,lucky me,had a rather interesting and smooth path in NS.Even got a chance to travel to taiwan twice and malaysia at SAF's expense.2010,most of the time was spent recuperating from the ACL Op,worrying here n there abt recovery.Blabla,nua-ing at home for whole 2 months between march-May.I think i only went out of my estate's gate for theraphy sessions.Crazy boring days.Then there was ATEC II,not as tough as the 1st BN ex i had with unit at taiwan.But ok.another experience..blabla..Back studying yet again.Rather short but alright results showed that all's well..not bad.Then there was this bad luck thing.

Ahh...sian sian.Sian with the PT assignment..well,like ppl always say,u've got to try then noe how gd/bad it is.And i wanna "thanks" the freaking weather for spoiling my evening-night assignment plan..and now i m facing a big fat zero with lots of explanation.blaaaaaaaa.Mundane.

40th week.9th month.Mini-test today on hamstrings..so left hamstrings can lift 5more pounds of weight than the right one..-_-"...it took me like 5months to regain strength and exceed the right's threshold..what a long time it takes...Gonna strengthen some more...don't know how many more months again,exceeding existing threshold for strength and stability..

1 more month of holidays..Both Specialist appt& TP(GODBLESSME!) again.
Like we always say..once again,TIME FLIES...its coming to dec already 2010 seems to pass relatively fast! considering i had a lull period from end feb to july concentrating on getting my feet up and recovering..Jan was ATEC craze..fast..then came july to sept of sch,oct-Nov study and exams and here we are entering dec..phew..

Finally exams were over,2 full textbooks plus extracts from 2 textbooks=4 papers.Hmmm...ok.Now that i have an idea of the university's exam and questioning style should put us in better state for the next 2 sems and less anxiety for upcoming exams..But bizarre & challenging it is : Explain how does internationalisation and technology impact Market research?-20marks. 1/3 of a certain paper's total marks..WOW.

Got a flexible job to accomodate my other 2 commitments which,damn,i should have called it a done deal with those 2,but i don't know,some what they are pretty out of my control..Hopefully the assignment turns out well..

So tempted to take a step out,with every session and sometimes the days gone by,its like a roller coaster ride.

Been contemplating and figuring out things that could happen in 2012...and thought of bad instances and happenings for the last couple of yrs.For a certain something,F***,still very very disappointed with how it unfold and concluded..ok whatever...................AH -_-

Went for my knee consultation after 4months with surgeon.Posed a few questions regarding my knee to him,one of which was that i still can feel "it being loose" at the back of the knee which usually occurs when doing horizontal shuffling during physio session ..and according to his diagnosis,the graft may have snapped again ..my heart sank for a moment..which i totally did not expect as the extent is defnitely not comparable to what i experienced before getting it fixed.was like WTF!!luck couldn't be anything worse than that!!...

Then subsequently did some testing on my knee..so final diagnosis was that my new ACL still seems to have resistance and ok."Loose" feeling could be due to the inability of the new graft to fuse completely in within as it is definitely non comparable with the original torn one.So, what to do?.nth can be done..all that can be done is to strengthen the hamstrings intensively to account for better knee stability together with the quads...demoralized.Need to work alot harder,so it seems impending full recovery seems further & further..& god bless me!! ..

22nd week already.Did my biodex last week...now left quads is probably better than right quads..so ironic.Must be the excessive training and physio sessions for the past 5 months..Hamtrings r still quite weak..room for improvement..quite a disappointment..expected better results this time round..but well...

Had my 1st dribble with a football for 22weeks!..for today's physio session..quite a surprise..Going by that,seems like i haven lost touch with my skills..here n there.hmmm..change of direction still feels wierd at times..seems like inside is pulling n stretching.Definitely need to exercise more caution here & then.

It's 10th May 2010.1year 10 months' had passed.I've ORD-ed.Full time NS is a done deal.It will always be a bitter-sweet memory for me.Have come a long way..

-Enlistment,accompanied by parents,half anticipated the stuffs to come along in BMT.It was high paced scheduled training.

-SISPEC was a much better experience than BMT..more freedom,better environment,no more emo boat rides.Taiwan trip was a highlight.Indeed.Enjoyed navex in the country side,escaping from rovers while eating Chi pa & bubble tea at orange plantation.Never ending knoll climbing.

-Passed out,got the rank.Challenges lies Ahead

-1st day in * SIR,someone greeted every1 of us (new specs-WELCOME TO H**L)

-Got a appointment that i nv expected.s3 br Ops Spec with a domineering direct superior over me.

-1st 2 months with the BN,i've indeed realised why the "someone" told us so.2nd Taiwan trip-Hengchun.Another wholesome experience.

-Juggling with admin jobscope & outfield role..results,trainings,resources,command post...blablabla..then came the politics..

-4major outfield ramp up for ATEC Stage 2

-ATEC Stage 2-conquered what they called the mini Biang in LCK..letter of commendation

It's coming to the end of 3rd post-op week.Should be moving to phase2 of physio.
Able to walk without crutches but at a very slow pace as compared to last time.Not advisable to go out still.If any1 knocks me down,probably that's it..4th week! Gonna walk faster and more stable!

It's been a week since my ACL Reconstruction...Seriously,there's minimal pain.The greatest pain was only after probably 14 hours when anesthesia subsided..Only lasted for 1hour though.Thank god the whole process was smooth sailing and a successful one.

The Only not so positive news that i've got, was that my graft, (new ACL) is 1.5mm short of the normal graft that they have done on other patients.The moment the surgeon told me this,gosh.so i will have a high risk of snapping it again?!..(touch wood)Pls don't let it happen again,for all the pain,hassle and money concerns.Once is enough.Have to exercise caution after recovery.

One week on..living with crutches,ice packs,knee brace..they are really my best pals for now...Everyday doing own rehab exercises..Gonna be stuck at home for quite long.Can't even go out except for medical appt back at AH.Things starts to get boring...Nice that ash,ray,yx & peiyin visited me to "kick off" some of this boredom element during the course of the day.

Like they say,which is also what i thought..the long route to recovery lies ahead..need to achieve several milestones..guess have to live with this crutches for probably more than a month from what i researched online..

1st milestone gonna be disappearance of the swelling on my knee..gonna take 4-6weeks..O_O!!!

:) Managed to watch 2 blockbusters recently..1st was..
hmm...a bloody and action-packed thriller,somehow some scenes that were supposed to be serious turned out to be interpreted by us,Singaporeans, as comical.

then..

A visual-graphical extravaganza.This movie didn't really caught my attention until rave reviews kept pouring in..well,didn't disappoint.

Looks like my fate was sealed back in april, MRI scan showed that my anterior cruciate ligament was torn..(SHI*) :((... and the only solution is to go under the knife..quite sure should be going for it though..being young,advisable to do so.From now on,have to see how it goes taking a step at a time.

&...Vpost is getting on my NERVES for its big negligence ...and freaking slow+unresponsive customer service.Delaying my X factor player's arrival..
In the mean-time,enjoying the block leave,but the irritating and mood destructive duties' interrupting a prospective peaceful 2 weeks.3 within 2 weeks,damn.

Back home for a couple of days already...
The trip this time...how shall i say..?definitely less strenuous...but of cos less fun..cause they come as a package.That's my view.More boring also..due to the activities and lack of gd company.Looked,see more of the country..traveled from south to north..long bus journey.Became "pai ka" during last day of "work",missed a step and fell down heavily with photocopier,big knock on my right knee..(so when will this string of bad luck go away?!)
Now i have a long route to recovery for both knees..damn.

After coming back,realised that this trip was sort of a get away..lost touch of everything in spore and daily worries.Gd in that sense.

Slacking my days away..such simple things..which is very gd..fingers crossed XXX that nothing will interrupt my off .

A string of events for the past month has led me to the thought that i've been rather sway.First was wisdom tooth pain,now seems ok,then ear pain which affected my hearing for quite a few days..the medical bills cost a bomb,then drug allergy rashes which i thought was a result of outfield,so i was wrong..then came on sat..my bro broke down with his old injury,off he went..never in the world would i thought i would suffer the same fate as him..sprained my leg later on .Gosh..at a very bad juncture when i 'm leaving in 6days time.Wanted to consult chinese physican,how coincident is it,he went overseas..

so!when will this ever end. ?!

25th Feb 2009..the organisation entrusted 400+ of us with this rank.It's a achievement for myself after more than half a yr. It comes with many more responsibilities that are to come in the coming days...Pressure and stress to come.Inexperienced i am,hopefully i will carry my duties well..mature.Bond with the ppl i m going to take soon.

Probably 1 week later i will know who they are..all i know now is they are more "experienced" than me in that new place..and in this service as well..1 month more...they are probably less educated and more handful..gosh..many more.And,i forgot to mention that my eventual place that i m going to settle in for 1yr plus is at LCK..super far.haiz.Glad that my a couple of my buddies are posted to the same place with me..

Finally back after 3..u can say short or long weeks in taiwan.
The weather was kind of crazy..every1 was shivering during the first few days wearing just tshirt n shorts running around..
Many ups and downs during that period of time..and we've done amazing things that can nv be done in spore.Eg Plucking fresh oranges for own consumption ,seen agricultural vegetation and scenery absent over here ..think i have walked 100km in jus 2 weeks over there...Climbing up and down over several knolls was the most taxing physically...
Learnt a few lessons also.EVeryone was just so so so relieved n felt so shiok at the end of the training.

Then came the tour,visited 2 theme parks..then the usual historical taiwanese sites in taipei city,watched their change of guards ceremony which attracted a big crowd..free n easy we ended in the usual hotspots like ximending,wufenpu,the famous shilin night market..went over to one of the tallest buildings in the world,taipei 101.blablabla.

In 3 days time,relac relac days would be over,n here comes the responsibilities//...argh.

Phew.its..around 3 hours before i leave my house for the airport.
It's the finale to the course..after which would be ultimate enjoyment during the tour in taipei city.Just hope everything goes smoothly..most importantly be safe and sound.

An adventure of a life time for 3 long weeks....Gonna miss home too.Sometimes its only times like this that sets us into thinking on what are the most impt things in life.

It's been 4 days since we have been ushered into the new yr.
As the old saying goes like that!~TIME FLIES!...dots.same old thing but true enough...

2008 had its many phases for myself..there was the last 2months in SP,major assignments rounded off..slack around before heading to HK for holidays..Had a great time there.Came back worked for LHUB for 2months...and after which got enlisted..well,the rest is ..shall not elaborate any further.

2009 would be..ahem.much different from 2008 looking at my current occupation,like i say,shall not elaborate further also.Just hope for a smooth sailing year.

Birthday..thanks for all the wishes and stuffs.
And most importantly the guys..for celebrating with me,though i may not be such a wonderful fren ,sometimes having a short fuse.jared, kenneth,ash,yx,ts.Not forgeting whoever who have contributed to the gifts-the sennheiser earphones,vouchers n fCUK tee. I survived 32km.The day prior and after the event was slack though...to let us prepare n recover..but nv the less,it wasn't easy..qualified for csb..a little achievement for myself.

Moments ago was given a surprise,made me realised so many things.Many many.

Same old sh____ again..
2145 we started,0450 we ended...slept walk at some stages...then the presentation..Ok la..its no big deal..wait till 3 months later..then i can say that i've really achieved something.Really hope i can do it,have heard lots of stories that its very demanding.

Staying back for another "gd"3 months.argh.May be a gd sign also...

1month has passed.Reaching mid point of BMT..fast indeed.The real stuff comes in on sun.
6yrs has passed since the olympic commitee awarded beijing the rights to host the olympics..and thinking i just witnessed the torch lighting ceremony on ch5 just now.FAST isn't it?!..kind of special actually..flying man "running" across the bird nest 1 round and lighting up the torch which wowed billions across the globe ...But 1st time for so many yrs,no time to watch olympics and NDP..

Concert was fast and furious..awesome none the less.Counted myself damn lucky to made it there..

Was 2nd last day at work.And,i will reserve 1 post for work.Cause it was negligent and nth special,but well,stayed there for 2months already..probably serve as some memory.

Went to work feeling quite refreshed.Wore the yellow company tee.Some event was on again,as usual job recruitment.Tasked as photographer again by may.Many unemployed persons went,uncle aunties,some brought along their kids.Started off with presentation,focus was on marine and service industry and i kept hearing the words IR-10000 jobs..blablabla.Staff had the luxury of enjoying that little bit of refreshments first hand before the participants for the job screening exercise.Then came then long Q of ppl...you know we know.Its free.Singaporeans crave for freebies.Come here do nothing also get to eat siewmai,sandwiches and tarts before getting into the real stuff for them.blablabla

Met 2 new colleagues..supposed to replace the 2 vacancies..including mine after next mon.Went lunch with the 2 new ladies and allen who promised to give me a treat,cos i'm leaving soon.Thanks.Went tiong baru for some lunch buffet.Filling.And it was back to boredom back at my own desk..the calls.yawns.Athena thanked me,thinking that it was my last day by giving me a bar of hershey's.Nice.thanks again.

Met they guys for dinner..To send off yx for NS.LOL.Settled at central.Mr adijanto surprised us with something.wow.ok.Left off for some drinks ...here's our male lead.Mr ser with ash.

Today marks the end.
Today marks the end of my association with singapore polytechnic.Sounds so formal...and depressing..and ahem.ok.All those hard work all goes down to 1 thing.The piece of paper we received today.Kind of a stepping stone for many to a uni education more than anything else.

All good things come to an end,tian xia wu bu san zhi yan si..if u understand...Today marks the end of another phase of our lives.The 1st formal graduation in our lives.But somehow..normal...not too excited.The only gd thing is we can see our dear frens ...some probably for the last time before we may meet some years down the road.
So,blabla..nth much for the graduation except that everyone seemed WOWed by the 7 super outstanding graduates from SP this year..a couple with 30++distinctions and As..sounds too gd to be true,awarded with the MM Lee award.-_-"/.All of us gonna leave this familar place,with familar ppl and surroundings...guys are gonna plunge into tekong for the coming months in our next phase of lives,while the ladies back to higher education or the work force.All the best everyone...for we don't know what's installed for us ahead.

What have i got to say?..damn.The team did it! The long wait's over.The biggest game for 9 years was sealed with a victorious finale...The game was not for the faint hearted if you are a fan from either side...The double!not the mickey mouse cup n FA cup double,nor the shield and FA cup "double"..but the greatest prize of all the champions league and the EPL.. The champions league victory the sweetest of all.We all live for that moment of ecstacy:) ROAR~~!!!

Continuation of HK adventures...though i'm kind of lazy to post...
Off to the famous Ocean Park at the southern part of HongKong Island...but morning yumcha with ash's relative at some quite high class restaurant.Nice and bloated are the words to describe the aftermath

Day 2 HK.Went for breakfast at those local tea restaurants,cha chan ting.Realised that they favour the instant noodle chu qian yi ding n they call instant noodles gong zai mian hahaa Went to the famous lantau island to ....u'll see more below... Taking the tung chung line to tung chung....
Our mode of transportation up the mountains...will take around 30mins.If u take the bus it will take 1hour++

Highly anticipated...initiated last year...duno when.Planned for long.3 became 8.I couldn't sleep the night before the flight...THe next time this will ever happen...i guess before date of enlistment which is hell.What contrast..

N we set off on the 17th.It was one of the best damn thing you could do during your free days,traveling with a gang of frens n bros, to HK. :) 10 years on since 1997,its still back to HK...only the 2nd flight trip.-_-"

Had endless fun thru out the 6 days.Snapping pics,enjoying the scenery and cooling weather of HK,admiring the streets and culture of HK, dubbed as the pearl of the east,enjoying local food,chill out session every night at ray n weng's room,shopping day blablabla.Just everything.Here i am back,needing some time to revert back to norma life style and reality,cause it was too gd.

YES~!! damn.I passed and scrap thru my fitness test..minus extra 2 months in NS for me..But fitness was damn bad.Thought 2.4km run would be a breeze but turned out to be a struggle today.No form...
